MySQL Cluster 7.0 now scales linearly in two dimensions with more than 4 times more transactional throughput!
With the release of MySQL Cluster 7.0, data nodes are now multi-threaded. Couple this with the new efficient design of MySQL Cluster 6.3 where each thread has absolutely no lock contention with other threads, and you now get the same performance in a 7.0, 2-node cluster, as a 6.3, 10-node cluster. One data node can now handle the traffic from a set of MySQL Servers residing on a 24-core MySQL Server. The end result is that data nodes can now process 4.6X more DBT2 transactions compared to 6.3.

These DBT2 benchmarks show the very high scalability of MySQL Cluster Carrier Grade Edition, attaining a rate of 100,000 transactions per minute (TpM) using an 8-node cluster. These performance improvements were realized through the use of new Multi- Core Intel Xeon servers based on the Intel Core T micro architecture.
