Reference: MySQL platform lifecycle reference.
Platform Lifecycle Policy
MySQL Workbench releases and operating-system platforms have separate support lifecycles. A supported Workbench release may outlast the availability of new builds for an operating system.
Server operating systems
Platform planning follows the vendor maintenance phase used as the support reference. The Oracle Linux Premier Support dates provide the shared reference for Oracle Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Ubuntu dates reflect Standard Support; the SUSE date includes LTSS.
Rapidly evolving platforms
Debian, macOS, and Windows client platforms follow a rolling policy covering the latest two major releases instead of a fixed vendor end-of-life date.
MySQL platform EOL
Operating-system retirement is separate from product retirement. Vendor lifecycle changes, adoption, engineering requirements, and supportability can affect platform availability. Planned changes are generally announced in advance; timing can vary.
