Wim Coekaerts is executive vice president of software development at Oracle. He is responsible for managing a number of projects including Oracle Linux and Virtualization, Oracle Enterprise Manager, MySQL, HeatWave, Oracle JET (JavaScript Extension Toolkit), Oracle Visual Builder, and various developer, infrastructure, and management cloud services. Wim is a well-known developer in the open source community.

Nipun Agarwal

Senior Vice President, MySQL HeatWave, Oracle

Nipun Agarwal is Senior Vice President of MySQL Database and HeatWave Development at Oracle. His interests include data processing, machine learning and cloud computing. Prior to this role, Nipun played a pivotal role in Oracle Labs, where he directed various research endeavors that later evolved into new Oracle products, such as MySQL HeatWave. Nipun's journey with Oracle began in 1994, following the completion of his Master of Science in Computer Science. For several years, he contributed to the Oracle database team. To date, Nipun has amassed an impressive portfolio of 200 patent awards.

Mughees Minhas

Senior Vice President of Product Management, Enterprise and Cloud Manageability, Oracle

Mughees oversees product management and strategy for MySQL Database, Enterprise Manager and OCI Observability & Management technologies. He has more than 20 years of experience developing some of the most widely used Oracle technologies like AWR, ASH, DB Replay, SQL Profiles, etc., and is currently working on MySQL Heatwave, the next generation of cloud databases. He holds an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is currently senior vice president in Oracle’s Corporate Architecture organization.

Abel Cabezas Alonso

For the last 5 years I have been working at CERN as Database Reliability Engineer in the Database on Demand service working with MySQL, PostgreSQL and InfluxDB with special focus on MySQL highly available setups. Since last year I am extending my area of expertise adding to my toolbox Oracle databases. Before CERN I worked as a DevOps engineer at Wilken Software Group Spain and during my early career I worked as a software developer in two different companies in Spain.

Arun Kumar Samayam is an experienced technology architect and a seasoned database professional with a profound passion for innovation. Arun is a Principal Cloud Solutions Architect in Cloud and Engineering platform team at a global airline company. Arun is part of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) team, where he drives the organization's cloud transformation journey through cloud governance practices.

Before this role, Arun worked as a Product Technical leader for the Enterprise Database services team, where he had the opportunity to develop and hone his technical proficiency through engineering, managing and supporting multiple database platforms like Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL server, and MongoDB. Craig Shallahamer

Having worked with Oracle technology since 1989, Craig Shallahamer is a leader in the fields of machine learning, artificial intelligence and Oracle database performance tuning.

Craig has extensive experience in constructing and teaching predictive modeling methods, notably developing a Reinforcement Machine Learning bot in 1990. He has launched several specialized generative AI conversational assistants, each with distinct personalities and capabilities. As an Applied AI Scientist at Viscosity and the founder of OraPub, Craig is also the author of two acclaimed books: "Oracle Performance Firefighting" and "Forecasting Oracle Performance".

He has received recognition as an Oracle ACE Director for his valuable contributions to the Oracle community through his technical expertise and leadership. Craig is an active participant in Oracle user groups, frequently presenting at conferences and serving as a board member and volunteer.

Ravi Kumar Yenugula

Y V Ravi Kumar is an Oracle Certified Master (OCM)/ Co-Author of (x6) books/ Technical Reviewer of (x5) books with 26+ years of experience in the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) verticals. He has published over 100+ Oracle technology articles on Oracle Technology Network (OTN), OraWorld Magazine, UKOUG, OTech Magazine, and Redgate.

He has spoken four times at Oracle Open/Cloud World (OOW), US. He is one among the very few to complete "Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect and MySQL Heatwave Associate" certifications. He has designed, architected, and implemented the core banking system (CBS) database for the central banks of two countries – India and Mahé, Seychelles.

He has co-authored several books, Oracle Database Upgrade and Migration Methods, Oracle High Availability, Disaster Recovery & Cloud Services, Oracle GoldenGate with Microservices, Oracle Global Data Services for Mission-critical Systems, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) GoldenGate and Mastering MySQL Administration.

Sandeep Agrawal

Sandeep Agrawal leads the HeatWave Machine Learning (HeatWave AutoML) project as a part of MySQL HeatWave. HeatWave ML is the product of years of research and advanced development and aims to help both data scientists and non-data scientists quickly apply ML to a given problem. Prior to HeatWave, Sandeep led the Oracle AutoML project within Oracle labs, creating a state-of-the-art distributed AutoML engine. He is passionate about Machine Learning and Systems Architecture and applying both to solve real-world problems. Prior to Oracle, he completed his PhD in Computer Science from Duke University in 2015.

Gaurav Chadha

Gaurav Chadha is a Senior Development Manager leading development of MySQL HeatWave Lakehouse. With a keen interest in systems, machine learning, and computer architecture, Gaurav brings a multifaceted expertise to database technology. Prior to his current role, Gaurav played an integral part in the development of Exadata Exascale, showcasing his adeptness at systems, database, and cloud technologies.

Following the completion of his PhD from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Gaurav started at Oracle Labs in 2016, working on a research project which eventually graduated into MySQL HeatWave.

Over the past 20 years, Mike has helped organizations formulate and implement complex new products and strategies. His background spans databases, development, tools, packaging, security, and backup. He's brought well over 15 new to market products. At Oracle MySQL he's been instrumental in working on various database features, development tools, backup and recovery, software repos, and security. As a founder and VP of Products at Gazzang (acq. by Cloudera) he brought to market Linux TDE and a SaaS key management products. As a co-founder and head of products at Idera he brought to market 5 database management products including SQL Secure, SQL Compliance Manager, and SQLsafe. At PentaSafe/NetIQ, as Product Author and Product Line Manager, he created a line of products for Security and Risk assessment of Linux and Web Servers. Mikes experience spans databases, operating systems, security, e-business, and trading systems.

Urvashi Oswal

Urvashi Oswal is a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Oracle. She has been leading the development of MySQL Autopilot features such as Autopilot Indexing, Autopilot Data placement advisor. She completed her PhD in machine learning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Mandy Pang is a Senior Principal Product Manager in the Oracle MySQL HeatWave team focusing on MySQL HeatWave on OCI and AWS. She has been working with MySQL and HeatWave for over 8 years. Mandy has an extensive background in Cloud, database, analytics, and security solutions.
