LiveJournal: MySQL Application of the Year 2004 Runner-Up

Danga Interactive develops and runs an open source project called LiveJournal.com, a fully-dynamic social networking and blogging platform with 2.8 million accounts and growing. Novell: MySQL Partner of the Year 2004

Novell has demonstrated its commitment to MySQL and open source software by making MySQL the standard database for Novell NetWare 6.5. NetWare 6.5 ships with a commercially-licensed version of MySQL 4.0, giving NetWare users the benefit of developing and distributing high performance, low-cost MySQL database applications without open source license requirements. MySQL is also a key component of Novell's One Net solution stack. A commercial version of MySQL ships with Novell's exteNd 5 Suite, Nsure Audit and Identity Manager 2.0 (DirXML), and a GPL version of MySQL ships with SUSE Linux.
