LONDON - September 11, 2007 -- MySQL AB, the developer of the world's most popular open source database, will host three European Customer Conferences next month with the theme, "Scaling the Modern Enterprise" -- in London on October 16, in Munich on October 18, and in Paris on October 23.
Leading companies such as The Swedish Police, NET-A-PORTER, Skyblog, Alcatel-Lucent, Le Crédit Mutuel, the financial administration of the German state of Nordrhein-Westfalen, and APS will be presenting case studies describing their successful use of MySQL. In addition, the all-day events also offer attendees the chance to meet with MySQL executives, engineers and partners, and to network with fellow MySQL users. Sessions will provide expert insight into popular topics such as database performance tuning, Scale-Out best practices, and using MySQL for online applications, data warehouse and business intelligence applications, High Availability solutions, and implementing an effective storage engine strategy.
"I found the 2006 MySQL conference in London to be extremely interesting and beneficial," said Klaus-Michael Vogelberg, Chief Technology Officer of The Sage Group plc. "It was a great opportunity to learn about product roadmaps, to meet other MySQL users and most importantly to learn more about how others use MySQL and the benefits it can bring to our business and our customers."
"These events represent a great opportunity for European executives, database developers and DBAs to learn how they can leverage MySQL's products to accelerate innovation and create more value for customers," said Richard Mason, MySQL AB's vice president for EMEA. "Past interest in our European customer conferences was so strong that we will be holding them in three cities this year."
The event's sponsors include Anaska, Dolphin Interconnect, JasperSoft, Linagora and Talend.
