Sun's MySQL consultants will work closely with customers who purchase this service to:

  • Act as a temporary member of the customer's MySQL database team working on those areas that they prioritize
  • Understand their requirements from a business and technical point of view
  • Provide advice on architecture and design
  • Install MySQL software, utilities and patches
  • Implement the database schema
  • Assist with loading or migrating data from existing system
  • Make recommendations on best practice for development, deployment and operations
  • Assist in performance measurement, tuning and optimization
  • Achieve improved scalability, availability and reliability

Scope of Work

  • Undertake database related work that would reasonably be expected of a MySQL Database Administrator or Application Developer.

Deliverables

  • Customer pays for the number of days worked by Sun's MySQL consultants.

  • Scheduled in minimum increments of 1 hour at a time
